Join CVA in calling on Congress to put veterans in charge of their health care.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is failing to give veterans the quality of care they need and deserve. But right now, veterans are unable to seek private sector care at their own discretion. The Choice Act of 2014 helped give veterans a few more options, but the program was implemented poorly and didn’t go far enough. The Choice Program was also intended as a temporary solution, passed in response to the Phoenix wait list scandal of 2014.
It’s unacceptable that many veterans are forced to use VA facilities that make them wait, neglect them, or provide them with low quality of care. Veterans chose to serve their country, and they should be able to choose their own doctor.
Join Concerned Veterans for America as we urge Congress to pass broader, more permanent choice reforms that will truly put the veteran at the center of their health care decisions.
